In our age of climate-induced food scarcity, humanity relies on mushroom substrates infused with insect proteins to meet its nutritional needs. but because the subjective experience of eating directly affects nutrients uptake during digestion. Mushrooms and insects are a rather bland solution to food scarcity and can hinder positive eating experiences. Modern food science had to shift its focus creating visual and tactile interactions that satisfy our bio-cultural need for stimulating food. A great food experience will promote better digestion.
Surreall is a food experience collective that aims to address the psycholsocial-physiological challenges of 2044 by delivering complex nutrition through novel mushroom-printed substrates. Surreall products incorporate the latest advances in food science, psychopharmacology and industrial production techniques to reclaim the joy and beauty of food in an age of scarcity and rationing. Using accelerated blooming methods, Surreall creates more complex and beautiful substrata that improve nutrition by exciting and enticing the senses. Using advanced psychopharmacology, Surreall provides relief from the anxiety and existential dread that have become the hallmark of twenty-first century life.
